Titan is the second hardest moon in the game with a hazard rating of "S+". The small map size and high nighttime entity spawn chances make it extremely dangerous to navigate the moon even early in the day. Despite that, Titan offers the largest loot amount and value with a whopping maximum of 37 scrap pieces that can be found. Titan has by far the largest indoor map size and also the largest chance to spawn with the alternative indoor layout with an over 18% chance for the layout to be the Mansion.
HISTORY: It looks like this moon was mined for resources. It's easy to get lost within the giant industrial complex. There are many entrances to it littered about the landscape.
FAUNA: Dangerous entities have been rumored to take residence in the vast network of tunnels.
Titan is a moon with heavy snowfall with a very small outdoor area. The ship lands with its doors facing directly in front of two sets of multiple flights of stairs which are used to access the main entrance. There are a second set of stairs that offer quicker access to Titan's fire exit, although the fire exit shares a landing with the Main Entrance which can also be accessed from the first set of stairs. It can also be used as an escape as entities such as Eyeless Dogs can walk up the stairs.
Titan is a high-risk, high-reward moon where players must collect and secure as much scrap as possible before indoor and nighttime entities flood the map. Employees are advised not to go too far into the indoor maze as the large indoor map size makes it very easy to get lost which is the last thing you want on Titan.
Employees can quickly reach the Main Entrance by using a Jetpack over the stairs. This can also be performed before the ship lands by jumping off the ship platform as soon as the door opens, activating the jetpack, and leaning forward to direct yourself towards the entrance. It is worth noting that you can take significant fall damage or die if you direct it poorly and end up too high or deactivate the jetpack too early/late. Despite the risk, this is an efficient method of reaching the Main Entrance quickly and avoiding any hazardous weather while reaching it.
Employees can quickly transport loot from the entrances to the ship by dropping items off of the edge. Using an Extension Ladder(2) allows employees to drop objects to ground level instead of landing on the secondary platform. Loitering at the main entrance or fire exit is strongly discouraged as Eyeless Dogs and Forest Keepers are capable of climbing the stairs(1) killing employees. Employees can also quickly scale down the stairs without taking fall damage(3) by dropping onto the stair railing, then dropping onto a small lip in the wall below the edge, dropping onto the secondary platform, and finally falling off the railing on the lower set of stairs onto the ground.
Just like on Dine, Jesters are the most common entities on Titan. It is advised to keep your visits to Titan short and efficient as Jesters easily can force employees to leave early if they spawn in the wrong places.
Just like on Rend, Eyeless Dogs and Forest Keepers are the most common nighttime entities on Titan. If spawned together, they can pose a significant threat to employee safety if not handled correctly. Earth Leviathan can spawn too but pose little to no threat as the ship is very close to the entrance.
The nighttime spawn curve is almost equal to Dine's with the only difference being the map size as on Titan, all entities spawn in a very small area. Indoor entities start spawning at around 8am with a more or less steady rate increase until 12am. See Mechanics for interpretation.
"Real Job" is sitting just out of reach on the awning over the main entrance. You can easily get it if you have an Extension ladder or Jetpack.
You'll definitely need to invest in a Jetpack for "Desmond", though. It's perched on the corner part of the pipeline which runs out the side of the facility and down between the main and fire exits. A single Jetpack charge is plenty to get all the way up there from the ship and to soften your fall on the way down.
